Prior to joining First Republic, Mr. Santelli worked at Bank of America from 2009 to 2013, where he served as General Counsel for private wealth management (including U.S. Trust and Merrill Lynch Private Banking & Investments) and preferred and commercial banking. Mr. Santelli began his internal career at Merrill Lynch & Co. in 2000, where he led the strategic M&A and private equity advisory group and advised the firm on its sale to Bank of America in 2008. Mr. Santelli began his legal career as a partner at Clifford Chance LLP (f/k/a Rogers & Wells LLP) in New York, where he was a member of the firm`s mergers and acquisitions, private equity and securities law practice.
